Peter Temple: Chairman
Mr Temple was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham and the Goethe Institut, Heidelberg, Germany. He has come out of retirement to fill the role of Executive Chairman of the company after 30 years experience in the Financial Advertising, PR and Journalism field, working for the Daily Express, Daily Mail and Euromoney plc.
A proven manager of development stage companies he has worked in this capacity in the USA, Germany and Poland. This experience will play a critical role in developing and implementing a successful business strategy for the company.
Tim Lawrance: Director
Mr. Lawrance was educated as an arboriculturalist, and latterly became the founder of Homegrown Timber (Rail) Ltd, a company devoted to vegetation management along Britain’s railway tracks and a number of other businesses. He has experience of business start-up, and both operations and financial management. Mr. Lawrance has been leading on the company’s commercial and financial management to date. He has provided all the finance for the project hitherto.
Dr Laiqi Zhang: Technical Director
A graduate of Northwest University (China), Dr Zhang gained his PhD in 1998 at the University of Birmingham. He has since been appointed Honorary Research Fellow at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham and is a chartered engineer, scientist and environmentalist, and a Member of Institute of Chemical Engineers and of the Chartered Institution of Waste Management. He has contributed to a number of books published extensively in journals and has extensive experience of bioreactors in bio/chemical and waste industries over the last 29 years and has developed the technological know-how currently used by BRL.
Professor J. M. Winterbottom:
Professor of Chemical Reactor Engineering at Birmingham University, Professor Winterbottom has been involved in the current technology and the development of improved bioreactor systems. He has worked on the practical applications of the system within a European Fifth Framework group project (enhanced intelligence processing of food related wastes using thermophilic populations). He is acting as an advisor on the further development of bioreactor digester systems.
Dr J Lopez-Real
Dr Lopez-Real has been involved practically in the teaching of composting technology at Wye College, Kent (Imperial College London) for over 15 years. Dr Lopez-Real has travelled to many countries worldwide to establish the use of composting in the practical agricultural environment and has a worldwide reputation. Recently he has been working in Kent and Medway for Southeast ReMaDe as their Organic Projects Manager, and in this role he has been advising, monitoring and conducting a watching brief on this project.
