BRL Biotech processes use a fully enclosed, environmentally-benign system in which a slurry of the waste is agitated and aerated. BRL thermophiles ensure bacterial activity to maintain enhanced aerobic digestion during processing. Energy consumption is significantly lower than in other systems, such as rendering. BRL Biotech rapid aerobic systems permit higher throughput rates and lower space requirements. This allows us to process waste for our customers at economical rates. The process is essentially odourless, making it attractive for all types of organic waste.

BRL has established a specialist team for material disposal and works with farmers and landowners to create a landbank upon which material can be spread. BRL has detailed knowledge of legislation, the pathogen-free products, and access to suitable lands. BRL's qualified team ensures that the products are applied evenly and precisely to the ground. Again, complete and detailed records are kept to permit full traceability.

BRL conducts a waste characterisation study for all biowaste streams to enable us to utilise and co-digest them, and to manufacture consistent, guaranteed pathogen-free materials. This allows the widest range of disposal options. All biowastes are collected in uniquely-identified closed containers and recorded. All containers and vehicles are washed and steam-cleaned before reuse.
